Children are reminded to wear full school P.E kit, including shorts for indoor activities, and to have a change of shoes for this lesson. Children are not to wear jewellery during P.E lessons to prevent injury. Class 4 will have P.E on Wednesday and Friday, Class 3 will have P.E on Monday and Thursday and Class 5 will have P.E on Monday and Tuesday.

As usual, homework will be given out on Monday (to be returned on Wednesday) and Wednesday (to be returned on Friday). Some homework will be given electronically on the computer. During the weekend, children will be expected to continue practicing their number bonds, multiplication tables and weekly spellings.

How you can help your children at home

We encourage children to read aloud to an adult at home as often as possible to improve their fluency and understanding of a variety of texts. Your support with this is greatly appreciated. With this in mind, parent helpers who are interested in reading with the class can do so by talking to the class teacher to arrange a time to come into school. Please remember to ask children questions about what they have read as this helps to solidify their understanding.
