Next week we have 2 fundraising days

On Thursday we are organising a ‘Santa Run’. A short fun run around the school grounds with the children encouraged to come in with Santa hats or other Christmassy items. After a suggestion from a parent we are going donate the money raised from this to a local charity which she is involved in called ‘Hands On Hands Out’. This charity distributes clothes, washing items and food to the homeless around Euston and Kings Cross station throughout the year and will be doing so on Christmas day. More information can be found at the following;

On the Friday we will be having our Christmas Jumper day where the children can come in non-uniform and their finest Christmas jumper. This will be in aid of the parents’ association and any money raised goes directly into them being able to put on fun events for the children such as the Halloween disco or Christmas bazaar as well as supporting school events by providing refreshments etc.

I am aware that having two events in one week is unusual but Christmas is meant to be a time for giving. As always all donations are voluntary but if you can spare £1 for each event it would be appreciated.

Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the Yardley app. It has had 200 downloads already which is great. If you haven’t downloaded it yet please do so from Apple or Google Play Store. We will keep the messages being sent out through it to a minimum but the other aspects such as the calendar will be regularly updated.

Please try and ensure that any money owing for school dinners is paid by the end of term.

A reminder again that term ends on Wednesday 21st December – 2.20 pm for the nursery, 2.25 for reception and infants, 2.30 for juniors. There will be no junior homework club on this day.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Tuesday 3rd January.

Finally, I’d like to wish all the pupils and parents a merry Christmas and I hope you all have an enjoyable Christmas holiday.

Mr Evans
