Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back to the new school year I hope that you all had fun and/or relaxing holidays. The school was very busy during the holiday with many improvements being made to the school site. These include the new activity trail in the area behind the school, the  maps put up in the junior playground, installation of a kitchen in the children’s centre building so that we can improve our ability to teach cooking with the children, new ceilings in class 2 as well as many other minor alterations.

A reminder that the school is open from 8.15am. This is when there will be an adult in the KS2 homework club which is located in the computing suite. We provide this facility free of charge, as well as the after school homework club, to help parents who can’t drop off their children at 8.50am or pick up at 3.30pm. Unfortunately already this term, we are having several pupils being dropped off well before 8.15. Should you need to drop you children before school opens you need to make appropriate childcare arrangements as we cannot have unsupervised children in the school.

School begins at 8.50am for the Juniors and 8.55am for the Infants. Please ensure that your child is on time ready to start the school day with the rest of their class.

New academic year and health and safety reminders

I have uploaded a separate document to news section of the school website which has our usual reminders for the start of a new school year. Please take the time read them.
