Early Years Centre

Introduction to the Early Years Centre

We provide our own parent/toddler activities for our local community and allow our facilities to be used for other additional activities as requested by the Sure Start Hub Children Centre. Health Services also use the school to deliver programmes or use our dedicated medical room.

We provide:

  • Activities for children and mothers and father/carers at the centre
  • Outreach services for isolated parents/carers and children
  • Information and advice to fathers and mothers/carers as requested
  • Parental Involvement

 The Hub Children Centre provides:

  • Outreach services for isolated parents/carers and children
  • Information and advice to fathers and mothers/carers on a range of subjects including: local childcare, looking after babies and young children and local education services for three and four-year olds
  • Support to child minders
  • Activities for children and mothers and father/carers at the centre
  • Links with Jobcentre Plus, to encourage and support labour market participation by parents/carers who wish to consider training and development
  • Parental Involvement
  • Access to community health services: including antenatal services and the Child Health Promotion Programme, led and delivered by health visiting teams
